and a girl 10 - 16. We know that his first wife's name was Ann and
that their 3 sons, were Enos (III), Lewis and Jesse C. We know
nothing of the girl or when the first wife passed on.

There is a possibility that Comfort Deen is the daughter of James and Ann, as no other parentage has been discovered.

There are 5 other Deans in this census - Benjamin (James' father),
Gulliver, Stephen, Nathan Sr and Nathan Jr. We do not know if the
others are related.
